Welcome to the first issue of our brand new monthly newsletter! We would like to wish everyone a Happy & Prosperous New Year, and thank you all for your continued support.

What's Been Happening at Elmar’s?
November at Elmar’s in the Valley saw the return of the Sounds in the Valley festival on Saturday 28th November. Featuring Mark Seymour, Wendy Matthews, Daryl Braithwaite and Chris Murphy, plus Elmar’s regular Ben Merito, the concert was a huge success! December was very busy month with numerous Christmas functions and get-togethers and plenty of fun had by all.

Our new outdoor pergola was completed just in time for the warm weather and has been a huge hit every weekend. Featuring live music on Saturday & Sunday afternoons, the Elmar’s in the Valley Beer Garden is now the place to be to relax and enjoy a few beers in the Valley! Check out our Functions & Events page for new photo’s of past events & functions over the past few months.

Our new cocktail menu has been keeping our lovely bar staff extremely busy, pumping out hundreds of cocktails for happy punters every weekend!

Beer of the Month - Smokey Wheat Beer (Rauch Dunkelweizen)
Our brewer, Brad Harris, has been working hard to perfect this special Christmas-New Year beer. Featuring Bamberg smoked malts, imported from Germany, aswell as German hops to reduce bitterness, this beer with a gentle smokey flavour is very exciting!

Our Head Chef, Steffen Hoeer, has also created a special Smokey Plate, the perfect match with this beer. Featuring a range of Elmar’s smoked smallgoods, including smoked beef, smoked ham, and smoked mackerel, aswell as smoked cheddar and much more, this platter is perfect to nibble on whilst enjoying a glass of our Rauch Dunkelweizen. Both the Smokey Wheat Beer & Smokey Plate are available at Elmar’s in the Valley for a limited time only!

Ben Merito - Way Back Home
For those of you who have enjoyed the fantastic music by Ben Merito at Elmar’s in the Valley, he has now released a CD! His first album, Way Back Home, released late last year, has been selling like hotcakes, with fans lining up to get a signed copy. Ben plays live at Elmar’s almost every weekend, so why not stop by for lunch, dinner, or just a couple of drinks at the bar, and enjoy his fantastic music.

Sounds in the Valley 2010
The lineup has just been released for the next Sounds in the Valley festival at Elmar’s in the Valley! The event will be held on Saturday 10 April 2010 - featuring James Reyne, Jon Stevens & Daryl Braithwaite, with support by Ben Merito. Back by popular demand, this will be James Reyne’s second performance at Elmar’s, with Daryl Braithwaite returning for his fourth year in a row. Jon Stevens has just returned to the road after heart surgery in late 2009 and will be performing live in what is sure to be his first show of many at Elmar’s.
