Coffee and beer - together? It might sound crazy, but sometimes it’s the most unlikely pairs that generate the most rich and flavoursome results.

On Monday morning, two of the Gold Coast’s best-known brewers, Brennan Fielding of Burleigh Brewing Co and Kenton Campbell of Zarraffa’s Coffee, will come together to grind, pour and mix the right ingredients to create the first locally-made black coffee lager.

The Burleigh Brewing Co team will work swiftly alongside the Zarraffa’s team grinding hundreds of kilos of 100% rainforest alliance coffee beans, ready to be poured directly into the brewing beer, in the one-hour window available.

If the rich aroma of ground coffee and brewing beer is not enough to lure you down, interviews with Brennan and Kenton will be available, and the Brewery will be alive with activity – featuring teams of grinders and brewers all working together.

Plus, for those lucky enough to attend, we’ll be announcing the name of this new black coffee lager on the morning.

We look forward to seeing you on Monday as we create coffee and beer history for the Gold Coast!
