Ellerslie Hop Estate is considering offering hop cones from this years crop. They will be Pride of Ringwood hop cones. To ascertain if it will be viable to pursue this option, we would appreciate it if you were able to let us know if you are interested in purchasing the cones.

They will be packed in a 1kg block and only available in this format. You need to be aware that the cones have a much shorter life span than the pellets in that they will retain their optimum freshness for 8 – 10 weeks from packing. After this time, they will start to lose alpha and aroma and therefore lose their freshness. This is not to say they will be of no use after this time but they will deteriorate quicker than pellets.

The blocks will be packed in one batch and not per individual orders.

Harvesting will begin around the end of February / early March.

As our main priority is to pellet hops, packing cones into blocks is a highly manual operation. Consequently it incurs a higher cost. The 1kg blocks will be $55.00ea + GST

If you are able to get back to us with your expected requirements by the 5^th of March, we will be able to plan ahead.
