The booklet was co-designed in collaboration with a number of microbrewers and one larger brewer to ensure the publication met the beer industry’s needs. It will be of specific use to potential beer manufacturers and those new to industry.

The booklet provides a comprehensive summary written in plain English, of relevant aspects of the excise tax system, specifically for beer manufacturers, all in one publication. It covers how the excise tax system applies to beer manufacture and how brewers can meet their tax obligations. There are many references to more detailed information and who to contact with queries.
